Only The Poets - JUMP! (Official Video)

"the first few months of the year saw us working on lots of new music, and something we were particularly excited by was a new song idea that Tommy had came to us with. after spending some time with it and trying out lots of different ideas, we slowly fleshed something out and that’s where the first full form of JUMP! was born. JUMP! is a song about all the times when you need to follow your heart and not your head. it’s a song for encouraging that leap of faith, throwing caution to the wind and being completely unapologetic about jumping into something new and exciting - whatever that might be.

ironically, after working on a song all about seizing opportunities, we couldn’t believe the news when we found out we’d be supporting lewis capaldi on his european tour. we were fucking buzzing. he’s an incredible artist that we all massively respect and he was going to put us in front of some of the biggest crowds we’d ever seen from the stage. when prepping for the tour and discussing what set list to play, we decided it would only be right to try out playing JUMP!

playing it for the first time was amazing, especially in such incredible venues, and after seeing it go down so well with the crowds we felt inspired to begin recording it whilst we were on the road. each day, once we got to the venue, we would load in our recording equipment and get working to try and capture how we felt the song needed to sound on record.

the rest of the shows with Lewis were sick, and once we were done with the tour it was back to the U.K. to finish JUMP! - and so here it is… we hope you like it.
