이소의 [마음 동화]

‘어른도 동화가 필요해’란 생각으로 노래를 만들기 시작했다.
마음은 어디에 있고, 어떻게 생겼을까. 무슨 색일까.

몸만 훌쩍 커버렸지 여전히 철없는 그녀가 마음을 찾아 나서는 동화 같은 이야기.


01. 나의 집은 우주
사랑하는 마음은 모두 다르겠지만, 내겐 눈 안에 담고 싶고 또 담기고 싶은 마음이 사랑이지 않을까 생각했다. 유명한 팝송 가사처럼 ‘당신에게서 눈을 뗄 수 없는 (can’t take my eyes off of you)’ 마음을 담아봤다.

02. 마음 동요
가끔 외줄타기를 하는 줄꾼이 된 마음이 들 때가 있다. 흔들흔들, 휘청휘청, 앞으로 가기엔 무섭고 돌아가기엔 늦었다. 때로는 앞일을 생각하지 않고 그냥 손에 쥔 부채를 던지고 싶다.

03. 파도 (Remaster ver.)
2008년에 기타리스트 오진우가 이소와 함께 밴드를 하던 시절 만든 곡이다. 파도의 멜로디는 파도(Fa Do)이다. 파도의 우리나라 음이름은 신기하게도 ‘바다’이다. 마치 파도처럼 잡힐 듯 잡히지 않는 게 사람 마음인 것 같다.

04. 열차 안에서
작년에 시베리아 횡단 열차를 타고 여행을 떠났었다. 때는 3월이었지만, 창밖 풍경은 동화 속 눈의 나라처럼 아름다웠다. 바다같이 넓은 호수, 자작나무, 뛰어내리면 푹 꺼져 사라질 것 같은 눈, 만나고 헤어지는 사람들. 아직도 생생한 그때의 동화 같은 풍경을 담았다.

She started to make these songs with the idea that even adults need a fairy tale.
Where their heart is, how it looks like and what color it is.
Even though she is fully grown up, she thinks she is still immature. This is a fairy tale to look for her mind.

01. The universe
“Love” is different to all the people. To me, love is catching him in my eyes or being caught by his eyes. Like the lyrics from a famous pop song, this song is about someone who ‘cannot take my eyes off of you’

02. Discomposure
I sometimes cannot feel the passage of the time. Time is too fast for me who is totally exhausted. So I cannot even tell the change of seasons. At times, I would like to take a long break.

03. Fado (Remaster ver.)
People pass through our lives. We currently live with people who left me, whom I left and who is going to leave me. As well as the last July’s project “Duo E”, this song “fado” was created in 2008 when I was in the band with a guitarist “Jinwoo Oh”. No matter how hard we try, catching someone’s mind is impossible. It is like catching waves to me.

04. Trans-Siberian Railway
Last year, I traveled on a trans-Siberian train. Even though it was in March, the scenery outside was so beautiful that it was literally like a snowy country in a fairy tale. A large lake like the ocean, the white birch, a pile of snow and the passersby. This story is about the fairy-tale scenery I saw at that time.
