Long time friend and producer Troy Samuela set the backdrop for No Hype with a velvety, ice cold low end. Following Troy's lead and chanelling my favorite whiskey on the rocks, I layered a gentle melodic flow to sit on the drums like frosting but felt we still needed to elevate the flavor profile.
Hitting up my cousin POETIK was a no-brainer. Working in construction at the time, he wrote his verse on a loose piece of cardboard on his lunch break and had the vocals stems back the same day. POETIK commands a fiery flow on No Hype uniting the fusion between fire and ice. – Kenzie From Welly
