The Chicago Cubs faced the Milwaukee Brewers in their 2020 Opening Day contest at Wrigley Field. In his first Opening Day start, Kyle Hendricks threw a shutout allowing only three hits to Brewers batters and collecting nine strikeouts. Ian Happ's 2-run homer in the third inning put the Cubs up early and Anthony Rizzo put an exclamation point on the game with an eigth inning home run.
