The 21-year-old played for JTEKT Stings in the V.League until last season, leading the club to victory in 2019/20. He made his debut for the Stings in 2018 and soon earned a place on Japan men's national volleyball team. Despite being a bit shorter than the average player in his position at 1.86 meters, Nishida's leaping ability and electrifying spikes never fail to push the excitement scale-up and leave the audience in awe. At Tonno Callipo Volley, Nishida will join a strong contingent of Brazilian players, including Mauricio Borges, Douglas Souza and Flavio Gualberto.
