i love that this song shows how that same affection & deep love for someone can turn the other way & start to cause u real pain. to me the song is about being in a stage where u would rather feel pain than love. it’s too hard to let that person go, so i start to hold onto everything about them that i did have. all the little memories. that only drives me more crazy. i think it shows how the brain can use the same thing that made u love to cause pain. pain & happiness live on the same coin. it’s a realisation that i have to start living a life where i am at the centre, not at the whim of what other people expect & give me.
