The Best of Royal Troon 1982 | 111th Open Championship
Royal Troon played host to The 111th Open Championship in 1982.
A Championship that saw Tom Watson win his fourth Open on a fourth different links course.
There were stiff challenges for the Claret Jug from players across the globe. Nick Price, Peter Oosterhuis, Masahiro Kuramoto and Sir Nick Faldo all made a credible challenge at Troon, but they all fell short in comparison to Watson.
His triumph saw him match Bobby Jones (twice), Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan and Lee Trevino in winning both the U.S. Open and The Open in the same summer.
These are the very best moments from Royal Troon in 1982.
