Robert Virves wins the FIA Junior WRC Champion 2022
Robert Virves is the new FIA Junior WRC Drivers Champion for 2022. The young Estonian rally driver scored the most points after 5 rounds, with 4 podium finishes and 1 victory at WRC EKO Acropolis Rally Greece 2022.
All the Junior WRC Championship drivers are under the age of 30 and are using identical 4 wheel drive Ford Fiesta Rally3 rally cars made by M-Sport Poland. Virves’ championship-winning prize includes four drives in the 2023 WRC2 series with an M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally2. He will also have the chance to test the car prior to each round whilst also receiving a full tyre package courtesy of Pirelli.

Julia Thulin was the co-driver for Robert Virves in Greece and Estonia. Aleks Lesk was the co-driver for Sweden, Croatia and Portugal. Brian Hoy is the 2022 Junior WRC co-driver champion, for co-driving Jon Armstrong during the entire season.
