Pirates Rally in the Sixth Inning to Win Six in a Row | A's vs. Pirates Game Highlights (6/5/23)

The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Oakland Athletics 5-4 at home on Monday evening. Their first run came from an RBI single by Connor Joe in the fifth inning, then Andrew McCutchen and Bryan Reynolds both walked with all bases loaded in the sixth inning to each bring in an RBI walk. Jack Suwinski gave up a sac fly to put the Pirates up 4-3 to end the sixth inning. Johan Oviedo matched his career high going seven innings to maintain the lead. The A's tied it back up in the top of the eighth but the winning run came in the bottom of the eighth inning off a sac fly by Andrew McCutchen to give the Buccs the lead, defeating the Athletics 5-4. Colin Holderman finished the job in the ninth and picked up his first career save.
