Pescarolo 01 LMP1 OAK Racing - ex 24h Le Mans Prototype, Now Powered by V8 Judd Engine - Nürburgring

I've filmed the Pescarolo 01 LMP1 OAK Racing chassis 09 which in 2011 took part in the 24h of Le Mans and the 12h of Sebring. It underwent a significant reconstruction that saw the LMP1 prototype race again after eight years. In 2019 took part in some Masters Endurance Legends races with its debut in Monza in July and the victory in both races at the Silverstone Classic MEL. The video to be seen refers to the third participation in the championship, season 2019, on the Nürburgring track, ranking a couple of second places. Pescarolo 01 was the first project built entirely by the company in 2007 to take part in LMP1 and LMP2 class competitions. OAK Racing overtook this project and sports management in 2009 by developing and significantly improving the car, especially under the aerodynamic aspect. The engine currently used is the naturally aspirated 3.4-Liter V8 Judd DB moved by a six-speed sequential Xtrac gearbox. The frame is a carbon-fibre monocoque, and the total weight of the prototype is about 900kg.

Questa è la Pescarolo 01 LMP1 OAK Racing telaio 09 che nel 2011 ha preso parte alla 24h di Le Mans ed alla 12h di Sebring. Ha subito un'importante ricostruzione che l'ha vista schierarsi nuovamente in gara dopo 8 anni. Nel 2019 ha preso parte ad alcune gare del Masters Endurance Legends con il debutto a Monza nel mese di Luglio e la vittoria in entrambe le gare al Silverstone Classic MEL. Il filmato che vedere si riferisce alla terza partecipazione nel campionato, stagione 2019, sulla pista del Nürburgring classificandosi al secondo posto in ambedue le gare. La Pescarolo 01 è stato il primo progetto costruito interamente dall'azienda nel 2007 per prendere parte alle competizioni in classe LMP1 ed LMP2. La OAK Racing ha rilevato questo progetto e la gestione sportiva nel 2009 sviluppando e migliorando notevolmente la vettura specialmente sotto l'aspetto aerodinamico. Il motore attualmente impiegato è il Judd DB V8 da 3.4-Litri aspirato mosso da un cambio Xtrac sequenziale a sei rapporti. Il telaio è un monoscocca in fibra di carbonio ed il peso complessivo del prototipo è circa 900kg.
