우효입니다. ‘당신은 어디에 (Cupid’s Arrow)’는 제가 생각하는 클래식한 한국 사랑 노래, 그리고 한국 가요만이 가진 사랑의 언어를 떠올리며 만든 노래입니다. 사랑에도 언어가 있다는 것, 사람은 각각 자기만의 사랑의 언어를 쓴다는 것, 그리고 사랑의 언어는 사랑을 받을 때 은연중에 배우게 된다는 것이 저의 하루하루를 신비롭고 즐겁게 만들어줍니다. 어렸을 때부터 들으면서 배우고 사랑하게 된 한국 음악에 대한 저의 애정이 느껴지는 노래였으면 좋겠습니다.

Hey! This is my new single ‘Cupid’s Arrow’. In this track, I wanted to recreate what I like to call ‘the classic Korean love song’. Old Korean ballads have a special place in my heart because they talk about love in a way that feels very familiar and yet strange to me at the same time. Sometimes I can’t identify with how directly, desperately, and sorrowfully love is expressed in them, but having grown up listening to them, it’s still so easy for me to enjoy them. Isn’t it fascinating that everyone has their own way of expressing love? That we all carry and communicate love differently seems to hint that love is indeed a rare and miraculous thing to discover. And I feel so relieved and blessed to know that love is probably a deeper and more sacred thing than just something that can happen between any two people at any given moment.
