지난 1월 '나얼의 음악세계'의 연장선으로 첫 선을 보인 'Soul Pop City'의 두 번째 싱글이 발표된다.
나얼이 소개했던 자신이 좋아하는 음악 스타일로 채운 조금은 매니악한 앨범 'Soul Pop City'의
두 번째 싱글 타이틀 'Word'는 70~80년대의 Soul Mellow Groove 장르의 곡이다.

차분함 속에서 화려함을 뿜어내는 감각적인 리듬 전개는 70~80년대 소울 멜로우 그루브 스타일임에도 복고적이기보다는 트렌디하다. 청량감을 더해주는 모던한 신스 사운드와 드럼머신 ‘LinnDrum’의 따뜻한 사운드는 이질감 없이 조화롭게 흐르며 곡의 완성도를 높였다.

가사에는 별이 쏟아지는 청명한 여름밤, 썸을 타는 남녀의 설레는 감정을 담았다.
