Martha Argerich, a legend since her teens, ranks today among the most charismatic of all classical artists. Right before her 80th birthday on 5 June 2021 Deutsche Grammophon looks back on one of the highlights of the Schumann year in 2006 when Martha Argerich and Riccardo Chailly performed the composer’s famous piano concerto Op. 54 together with Gewandhausorchester Leipzig.
