Lola T70 MKIII B (1968 Specs) + Onboard at Le Castellet Circuit, 450Hp Chevrolet V8 Engine + Warm-Up

This fabulous Lola T70 MKIII B of the Belgian team Breitt Racing took part in the 2022 edition of the Dix Mille at the Paul Ricard circuit. We thank all the guys in the group and the pilot Emile Breittmayer for their extreme kindness and allowing us to install an action camera in the cockpit. The car takes part in the races of the Classic Endurance Racing category of the European championship, and specifically, this car has the technical configuration of the 1968 model. The chassis number HU76-163 is one of the seven official cars called "factory continuation" built by Lola in the first decade of the new millennium. It has a Historic Technical Passport (HTP), which demonstrates its conformity as a historic racing car and establishes the car's technical specifications for the required homologation period; this allows it to be used in the competitions of its period. The Lola T70 in question belonged to the British pilot Steve Tandy who successfully achieved important results such as the overall victory in the 2010 Silverstone Classic, podiums at Spa Francorchamps and, more recently, a second place in the CER1 category by Peter Auto at Monza in 2017. The car is now in the hands of Team Breitt Racing. Mechanically it is equipped with the naturally aspirated 5.0-litre Chevrolet V8 engine capable of developing 450hp and combined with the Hewland LG600 manual gearbox. The reinforced fibreglass bodywork and the riveted and glued aluminium monocoque chassis allow the car to be very light, with a total weight of only 800 kg. Performance is high even nowadays, and it's a real show to see the Lola T70 compete on the track.

Questa favolosa Lola T70 MKIII B del team belga Breitt Racing ha preso parte all'edizione 2022 del Dix Mille presso il circuito del Paul Ricard. Ringraziamo tutti i ragazzi del team ed il pilota Emile Breittmayer per la loro estrema gentilezza ed averci permesso di installare una action cam nell'abitacolo. La vetture prende parte alle gare della categoria Classic Endurance Racing del campionato Europeo e nello specifico questa vettura ha la configurazione tecnica del modello 1968. Con il numero di telaio HU76-163 si tratta di una delle sette auto ufficiali denominate "factory continuation" costruite da Lola nel primo decennio del nuovo millennio. Dispone di un Passaporto Tecnico Storico (HTP) che ne dimostra la conformità di auto storica da competizione e stabilisce le specifiche tecniche della vettura per il periodo di omologazione richiesto; questo permette di essere impiegata nelle competizioni del suo periodo. La Lola T70 in oggetto è appartenuta al pilota inglese Steve Tandy che l'ha guidata con successo ottonendo importanti risultati come la vittoria assoluta nella Silverstone Classic del 2010, podi a Spa Francorchamps e, più recentemente, un secondo posto nella categoria CER1 di Peter Auto a Monza nel 2017. L'auto è ora nelle mani del Team Breitt Racing. Meccanicamente è dotata del motore Chevrolet V8 da 5.0-Litri aspirato capace di sviluppare 450hp ed abbinato al cambio manuale Hewland LG600. La carrozzeria in fibra di vetro rinforzato ed il telaio monoscocca in alluminio rivettato ed incollato permettono all'auto di essere molto leggera con un peso complessivo di soli 800Kg. Le prestazioni sono elevate anche al giorno d'oggi ed è un vero spettacolo vedere la Lola T70 competere su pista.
