Lola B2K/40S ALMS/LMP2 Prototype (#HU05), AER Nissan 3-Litre V6 Engine, Endurance Racing Legends

This is the Lola B2K/40S chassis number HU05, one of 15 prototype cars built between 2000 and 2001. It competed in the LMP2 class in the American Le Mans Series and Europe, during the racing season we remembered the 12H Sebring class victory in 2001. In the same year, they have participated in the 24H of Le Mans but had to withdraw due to overheating problems. Recently restored, it took part in the Dix Mille Tours race organized by Peter Auto on the French Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet. Lola B2K/40 is competing in the Endurance Racing Legends series again with the original 3-litre naturally aspirated AER Nissan V6 engine that develops about 400hp at 8,500 rpm. The maximum torque is 420Nm at 7,200 rpm. The gearbox is a 6-speed sequential by Hewland. The chassis is an aluminium monocoque with a tubular structure at the rear while the body is made of composite material. Total weight of the prototype is around 750 kg.

Questa è la Lola B2K/40S numero di telaio HU05, una delle 15 vetture prototipo costruite tra il 2000 ed il 2001. Ha gareggiato in classe LMP2 nella American Le Mans Series ed in Europa e durante la stagione agonistica ricordiamo la vittoria di classe alla 12H di Sebring nel 2001. Nello stesso hanno la partecipazione alla 24H di Le Mans ma si dovette ritirare per problemi di surriscaldamento. Restaurata di recente ha preso parte alla gara Dix Mille Tours organizzata da Peter Auto sul circuito francese del Paul Ricard a Le Castellet. Compete nel campionato Endurance Racing Legends series nuovamente con il motore originario, un AER Nissan V6 da 3 litri di cilindrata aspirato che sviluppa circa 400cv ad 8.500 giri/min. La coppia massima è di 420Nm a 7.200 giri/min. Il cambio è un Hewland sequenziale a 6 rapporti. Il telaio è un monoscocca in alluminio con struttura tubolare al posteriore mentre la carrozzeria è in materiale composito. Peso complessivo del prototipo, 750 Kg.
