Lando Norris & Oscar Piastri testing the 2021 McLaren MCL35M F1 car at Imola Circuit, April 6, 2023

Official drivers Lando Norris & Oscar Piastri took to the track at Imola on 5 and 6 April 2023 aboard the McLaren MCL35M F1 that raced in the 2021 season. The car was very competitive that season, finishing in 4th place in the constructors' championship and obtaining a splendid victory on the Monza circuit with Daniel Ricciardo and second place with Lando Norris, a formidable one-two. The reasons for these tests are not well known, certainly to collect data and to be excellent training for the drivers who will race in the Formula 1 Grand Prix here in May. The Mercedes-Benz AMG M12 E Performance 1.6-Litre V6 turbo-hybrid powers the single-seater built with a carbon fibre chassis. The gearbox is of McLaren construction with eight speeds + reverse gear; the car's total weight is about 750 kg. Enjoy! 😉

I piloti ufficiali Lando Norris & Oscar Piastri sono scesi in pista ad Imola nelle giornate del 5 e 6 Aprile 2023 a bordo della McLaren MCL35M F1 che ha corso nella stagione 2021. La vetture in quella stagione fu molto competitiva, piazzandosi al 4° posto nel campionato costruttori e ottenendo una splendida vittoria sul circuito di Monza con Daniel Ricciardo ed il secondo posto con Lando Norris, una formidabile doppietta. I motivi di questi test non sono ben noti, sicuramente per raccogliere dati oltre che essere un'ottimo allenamento per i piloti che correranno qui il gran premio di Formula 1 nel mese di Maggio. La monoposto costruita con scocca in fibra di carbonio è motorizzata Mercedes-Benz AMG M12 E Performance 1.6-Litri V6 turbo-ibrido. Il cambio è di costruzione McLaren ad 8 marce + retro marcia; il peso complessivo dell'auto è di circa 750 Kg. Buona visione! 😉
