When a police officer threatens to tow his father’s car, Aaron Kurlander (Jesse Bradford) takes matters into his own hands. Unaware of Aaron’s joyride, Mr. Kurlander (Jeroen Krabbé) abandons his son for a job in another state, leaving Aaron in an empty apartment. Can Aaron drive the car to safety? And, more importantly, will he survive on his own?

Film Synopsis:
Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh creates one of the most vivid depictions of the Depression ever captured on film in this poignant story of a 12-year-old St. Louis boy (Jesse Bradford) who must fend for himself when his mother is sent to a sanitarium and his father leaves to work as a traveling salesman.
