John Candelaria's No-Hitter in 1976 | Pittsburgh Pirates

On August 9, 1976, John Candelaria became the first Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher in 69 years to throw a no-hitter in Pittsburgh as he led the Bucs to a 2-0 victory over the Dodgers at Three Rivers Stadium. It was Candelaria’s 11th win on the year and he struck out seven batters on the way to his historic accomplishment.
