The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the San Diego Padres 3-2 at Petco Park on Wednesday afternoon. Ji Man Choi started the scoring for the afternoon with a home run in the second inning. Bryan Reynolds then cleared the deck in the fourth to give the Pirates a 2-1 lead. The home runs kept coming for the Bucs when Carlos Santana hit one in the ninth to close out the scoring for the afternoon. Johan Oviedo picked up the 3-2 win, which earned the Bucs the series win.
