Impressive Plays by Mayu Ishikawa 石川真佑 🇯🇵 Japan's Volleyball Star on the rise!

Enjoy watching the highlights of Mayu Ishikawa, the younger sister of Yuki Ishikawa! The 21-year-old wing spiker has risen quickly through Japan’s age-grade ranks to the national team and became one of the players Japan is pinning its hopes on to help them to glory at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. She made her debut at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball World Cup and was one of her country's top players at the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League. Japan participated in the final round of the competition for the first time and earned fourth place at the 2021 VNL. They won 12 of their 15 matches in the Preliminary Round but fell to Turkey in the match for bronze. Ishikawa scored a total of 226 points in the Preliminary Round (including 9 blocks and 15 serve points), and 24 points in the final round (including 1 block) and was Japan's second-best scorer in the tournament behind Sarina Koga.
