Gautier has recorded a special selection of solo-cello works for this triple album: alongside J.S. Bach's landmark Cello Suite No. 1 are Dutilleux's Trois strophes sur le nom de Sacher, Kodály's Cello Sonata Op. 8, and Javier Martinez Campos's Ambre Cello
. The other two parts of his Souvenirs project are dedicated to career highlights that Gautier has selected himself, creating a musical sketch of his discography until today.
