The Norwegian's opportunity came after a short corner resulted in Palace winger Michael Olise tripping City captain Ilkay Gundogan in the box.

Pep Guardiola's side had created several chances in the match but failed to capitalise on our dominance before that point.

Rodrigo, Jack Grealish and Haaland all had efforts before the break but it was down to our No.9 to win the game from the spot.

The victory extends City's impressive recent run of form with five wins in our last six league games and Guardiola's record at Selhurst Park to five wins and two draws.
