The host of the 152nd Open Championship. Royal Troon in South Ayrshire, Scotland is no stranger to high profile and dramatic wins of the Claret Jug.

Since it's first appearance on The Open rota, it has been a happy hunting ground for American golfers. Home to Arnold Palmer's second triumph in 1962, Tom Watson's fourth Claret Jug in 1982 and who could forget the play off victories from Mark Calcavecchia and Todd Hamilton.

Without question the most engrossing battle came in 2016 when Swede Henrik Stenson fended off the fiercest of competition from Phil Mickelson for his maiden major win.
