"Piazzolla’s music is very multi-faceted," Lucienne explains. "Throughout his life he composed very varied music for different kinds of ensembles. Obviously, the tango is an element in many of his compositions." The program of the album explores the music and influences of this Argentinian composer. Next to works from his own oeuvre – a fusion of tango, classical, and jazz – are works by diverse composers from the "King of Tango" Carlos Gardel to J.S. Bach.

Recorded with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo and conductor Sascha Goetzel. Featuring, as guests, accordionist Richard Galliano and guitarist Thibaut Garcia.
