Daniil Trifonov – Rachmaninov: The Bells, Op. 35: I. “The Silver Sleigh Bells” (Arr. Trifonov)

Following the success of his latest release, "Destination Rachmaninov – Departure", we are delighted to release the second part of Daniil Trifonov's journey through Rachmaninov's piano works together with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. "Destination Rachmaninov – Arrival" unites the acclaimed Russian-born artist’s account of Rachmaninov’s Third Piano Concerto, one of the most difficult and demanding in the repertoire, with his searing interpretation of the composer’s First Piano Concerto. In this video, the pianist and composer performs his own piano transcription of the first movement of Rachmaninov's choral symphony "The Bells".
