Under the direction of conductor Iván Fischer, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin presents Bartók's Concerto for Orchestra as the finale of a concert dedicated to world-famous violinist and conductor Yehudi Menuhin, starring violinist Daniel Hope. The five-movement orchestral work is one of Bartók's most popular and accessible works since its premiere in 1944, best-known for its title “Concerto for Orchestra” because of the way each section of instruments is treated in a soloistic and virtuosic way.
