Carlos Santana Blasts Walkoff Home Run into River in Win | Pirates vs. Brewers (6/30/23)

The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 8-7 at home on Friday night. Andrew McCutchen opened up the scoring for the Bucs with a home run in the fourth inning. A 2-run double from Nick Gonzales continued the scoring in the fourth to bring the Bucs within one run. The Bucs were down two runs heading into the bottom of the ninth, but an RBI double from McCutchen and a walk-off home run from Carlos Santana gave the Bucs an 8-7 victory. McCutchen (3), Santana (2), Gonzales (2), and Jack Suwinski totaled the team’s eight RBIs.
