"We'd been to pick up Novelist at LAX - his first time in LA - and straight from the flight we had to go to set. We pulled up to a parking lot in North Hollywood not totally sure what to expect. To our surprised Hiro had arranged an army of actors in period styling, with chandeliers on cranes and multiple setups established in the clearing near a humble strip mall. One of the most fun shoots we'd ever attended: Hiro seemed totally unfazed by directing the massive cast. This was his take on Kubrick's Barry Lyndon. On set he spoke about his next project kicking off just a week later: shooting season 1 of Atlanta."

Baauer’s debut album “Aa” (pronounced ‘double a’) is a record that could only be made by a kid born of New York inspired by rap and dance music - traveling the globe sampling and processing found sounds with friends Future, Pusha T, M.I.A, Novelist, Leikeli47, Rustie and Tirzah. “Aa” followed the anthemic “GoGo!” single (2015), The “ß EP” with Rae Sremmurd and Alunageorge (2014), limited edition laser-etched vinyl 12” “Dum Dum” (2013), and the genre defining single “Higher” with Just Blaze and Jay Z (2012).
