‘Bittersweet Fields’ is a solo project by guitarist/songwriter Hyung-joon Kim. His first single, ‘Gecko’s Pub’, is based on a pub located in Itaewon, Seoul. The song is composed of a mid-tempo rhythm, a retro-style synthesizer, and a rock’n roll guitar. It describes a mind that wants to leave for another world, out of this lonely city. When you listen, a small bar on the beach where a small lizard crawls will emerge on your mind, like a magical pathway.

‘Bittersweet Fields’는 기타리스트 겸 송라이터 김형준의 솔로 프로젝트다. 비터스윗 필즈의 첫 번째 싱글 [도마뱀 술집]은 서울 이태원의 모처에 위치한 펍을 배경으로 만들어진 노래로, 미드템포의 경쾌한 리듬과 레트로 스타일의 신시사이저, 그리고 로큰롤 기타가 어우러져 구성되어 있다. ‘쓸쓸해져 버린 도시 속’을 벗어나 다른 세계로 떠나고 싶은 마음을 그려낸 작품. 듣다 보면 작은 도마뱀이 기어 다니는 해변의 작은 술집이 마음속에 마법의 통로처럼 떠오를 것이다.
