On Saturday, Nizhny Novgorod volleyball players played the second match in the framework of the Russian Championship 2024 at their home ground. The opponent of Andrey Dranishnikov's team was Krasnoyarsk "Enisey", which lost in four games to Dynamo-LO at the start.
The first and second games of the match in terms of score and content became copies of each other 25:21, 21:25. And if in the starting game segment the hosts were able to complicate the life of the Krasnoyarsk hosts, forced them to postpone the finishing, and then outplayed on the block (7 closed attacks on the account of the ASK and only 4 from the guests). Then already in the second set, the finishing of Nizhny Novgorod left much to be desired compared to the Enisey, and as a result, more mistakes and attacks into the block are already on the account of the hosts.
During the third set, both mentors decided to replace the diagonal ones. Nizhny Novgorod striker Klim Mozzhukhin left ASK instead of Denis Antonov, and Maxim Bocharov replaced Vitaly Fettsov in Enisey. Both players entered the match well, but still Bocharov was more useful for his team. "Enisey" performed well in attack, and for the whole game the attackers made only one mistake. Conceding with a score of 11:18, head coach Andrey Dranishnikov made a triple substitution, changing the binder, the do-player and the diagonal. The guests confidently brought the game to victory 25:16.
The fourth set turned out to be the longest in the match. "Enisey" constantly led, but Nizhny Novgorod managed to make a comeback twice, comparing the score. Such a struggle led the teams to an equal score of 23:23. At first, the wards of Yuri Filippov were able to block the attack of the finishing player Anton Karpukhov 24:23. And also in the next draw, with a triple block, the guests closed the attack in Mozzhukhin's finishing game at 25:23.
