Andrew McCutchen Hits 299th Home Run in Win | Cardinals vs. Pirates Highlights (8/22/23)

The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 6-3 at PNC Park on August 22, 2023. The Pirates got on the board in the 4th inning with an RBI from Connor Joe to make it 1-0. Bryan Reynolds hit a 2-run double in the fifth to give the Bucs a 4-1 lead. A home run by Andrew McCutchen later in the fifth put the Bucs up 6-1 and also gave him him his 299th career home run. Johan Oviedo went five innings with only 1 ER and 5K's, followed by Dauri Moreta (1.2 IP), Colin Holderman (1.1 IP) and David Bednar closed the game to solidify the win.
