1979 Arrows A1B Formula One [F1] + Fred Lajoux Onboard - Historic Minardi Day at Imola Circuit

I had the pleasure of filming this 1979 Arrows A1B, Formula One car, chassis 003 ex-official Warsteiner Arrows Racing Team. Currently is brought to the track by Fred Lajoux and in this video, you can see his onboard at the Imola circuit. We are at the Historic Minardi Day event where every year we can find lovely historic F1 cars in action on the track that has been part of the world championship for twenty years. Mr Lajoux drives splendidly, very fast and I'm delighted with this camera car. You will find in the video an entire track session consisting of five laps. The single-seater was not very competitive overall even if we have to report seventh place at the Brazilian GP in the 1979 season and eighth place in Argentina thanks to the expert Jochen Mass' hands. The car designed by Tony Southgate and built on a chassis in aluminium is powered by the 3.0-litre naturally aspirated Ford Cosworth DFV V8 engine moved by the 5-speed Hewland FGA 400 manual transmission. Total weight about 600kg.

Ho avuto il piacere di filmare questa Arrows A1B del 1979, vettura di Formula Uno telaio 003 ed ex ufficiale della scuderia Warsteiner Arrows Racing Team. Attualmente viene portata in pista da Fred Lajoux e proprio in questo video potete vedere il suo onboard presso la pista di Imola. Ci troviamo all'evento Historic Minardi Day dove ogni anno possiamo vedere in azione splendide F1 storiche sulla pista che per un ventennio ha fatto parte del campionato del mondo. Mr Lajoux guida in modo splendido e molto veloce e sono davvero felice di questo onboard. Troverete nel video un'intera sessione di pista composta da cinque giri. L'auto non è stata molto competitiva anche se dobbiamo segnalare, nella stagione 1979, il settimo posto al GP del Brasile e l'ottavo piazzamento in Argentina grazie alla guida esperta di Jochen Mass. La vettura progettata da Tony Southgate e costruita su un telaio in alluminio è mossa dal propulsore Ford Cosworth DFV V8 da 3.0 litri aspirato comandato dal cambio manuale Hewland FGA 400 a 5 rapporti. Peso complessivo circa 600kg.
